My role
UX Designer and Developer
What’s this all about?
Tiendeo (now part of Shopfully) is a drive-to-store platform where catalogues are one of their most recognized products. For years, their catalogues were little more than scanned paper versions.
To bridge that gap, we created the first Dynamic Catalogue: a fully digital catalogue with customizable format.
The result was a smoother, more engaging browsing experience for users and a more accurate, impactful tool for clients.
Finding Room for Improvement
Traditionally, catalogues on the platform were little more than scanned pages. While they were familiar to clients this format came with important limitations for both users and businesses. Some the main user paint points were:
- Poor readability
- Navigation was designed for desktop, not mobile
- No interactivity (couldn’t save or share products)
- Costly to maintain

The solution
The Dynamic Catalogue was introduced as a modern alternative to solve these issues: bringing real-time updates, interactivity, and a mobile-first experience, while still keeping static catalogues available for clients who wanted them.

Learnings
This project gave me the chance to go through the full cycle of product creation, from defining the design to implementing it in development. I was the only designer, but not the only developer, which helped me practice bridging both areas.
The biggest takeaway for me was learning how important it is to design with feasibility in mind. Every detail in the design directly influenced how efficiently I could build it later.
Looking back, I can see many things that could have been done better, but I still feel it was well executed at the time. If I could do it again, I would make some changes, but I am proud of the outcome and what I learned.
